Humboldt Redwoods State Park – CA, September 2017
Humboldt Redwood State Park is a smaller park located approximately 75 miles south of the Redwood National and State Parks. It was originally not a part we even thought we would stop at but on our drive south from Redwoods National Park to San Francisco we needed to make a pit stop and saw restrooms advertised on the highway so we decided to stop. Lucky for us these signs happened to take us to this beautiful gem of a park. It is not very large but what it lacks in size it makes up for with charm. Towering trees in a nestled grove make for a warm and intimate environment. Unfortunately due to time constraints we didn’t stay long to explore this park but I would certainly want to go back and spend some time here based on first impressions.
